Right, well that bit in BLOG POST 3 about posting a trailer within a couple of weeks turned out to be a horrific lie. However, a mere eight months later, here it finally is.
The film is pretty much done, with the final cut locked and just a few more days of sound and image grading remaining (literally a couple; it should be done by the weekend). Principal photography wrapped in late July, after a hectic few months of filming, editing and working full-time concurrently, and the film's first cut was completed three days after wrapping. I entered the film in a few festivals (far, far too few in retrospect) and sent a link to a Youtube upload to a few internet reviewers. So far the reaction has been very positive (view reviews here, here and here), and we have one confirmed festival showing, which will be the World Premiere. So, if you're knocking about Southend (near London) on the first of February next year, come and see the film at the Horror-on-Sea Festival. Or don't, whatever.
There'll be a Dublin screening at some point before Easter next year, and hopefully a few more festival appearances. Then the long journey towards securing distribution begins. I promise to try to make an effort to keep this blog more regularly updated with screening and distribution updates. If you're lucky, I may even add a third person to the 'cast & crew' section.
Finally, the soundtrack, by Repeated Viewing, will be getting an official release in both the US and UK very soon, It's a fantastic piece of work, and is something that has been consistently praised by the reviewers. Hopefully both the film and soundtrack (and myself and Alan) can mutually benefit from continued exposure over the coming months.
Oh, I also done a poster. Look over there ->
